Pie in the Sky Magazine

Pi in the Sky magazine is primarily aimed at high-school students and teachers, with the main goal of providing a cultural context/landscape for mathematics. It has a natural extension to junior high school students and undergraduates, and articles may also put curriculum topics in a different perspective.

Zodiac Magazine

While being quite similar to the Pie in the Sky series, Zodiac magazines caters to both high school and university students.

Web sites

Cut the Knot. A large site with many articles and puzzles that are well designed to explain principles of mathematics at many levels. The many well designed puzzles, games, and demonstrations provide an enormous amount of educational material.

Eric Weisstein’s World of Mathematics. The best mathematics encyclopedia I’ve seen.

Interactive Mathematics Miscellany. Numerous interactive articles on mathematics as well as other mathematical curiosities.

Kömal. A Hungarian mathematics and physics Journal.

MacTutor History of Mathematics. An archive of math history.

Math Archives. A giant list of links to mathematics sites.

Math Circles Topics. A list of papers developed by Silicon Graphics co-founder Tom Davis for running classes on a variety of mathematical topics.

The Math Forum. All sorts of resources for students and teachers.

Math News at MAA Online. Great articles on developments of mathematics and its uses in science.

Mathematical Database. Many resources for the Olympiad-level student, and also a basic geometric construction tool.

Mathematical Excalibur. Publication of interest to the student preparing for Olympiad-level mathematics. Start with later editions.

Mathematical Reflections. Online journal of Olympiad and collegiate mathematics.
